Services and Fees

Ayun Psychology is an inclusive practice that warmly welcomes and supports individuals, couples, and families in all relationship styles, including polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, and other diverse relationship structures.

Sessions can be offered online both in English and Spanish.

• Individual Sessions $260 (50 min)

• Sessions for Couples $285 (65 min)

• Sessions for Families or 3+ ppl $300 (50 min)

Note: The recommended psychology fees set by AAPI for 2025–2026 is $330. We aim to keep sessions affordable.

Rebates

Medicare

• Eligible individual clients with a Mental Health Care Plan can claim $98.95 per session (from 1 July 2025) for 10 sessions per calendar year.

• Out-of-pocket cost: $161.05.

• Speak with your doctor to arrange a plan.

• Couples therapy is not eligible for rebates with a Mental Health Care Plan.

NDIS

• Sessions can be funded if you are self- or plan-managed.

• Catalina is not a registered NDIS provider, so payment is required upfront. Clients are required to submit invoices to NDIS for reimbursement.

Private Health Insurance

• Contact your provider about rebates.

• Clients are required to submit their own claims for reimbursement.

Third-Party Payments

• All payments are required at the time of appointment.

• Paid invoices can be submitted to the third party for reimbursement.

Initial appointments

We require a $100 deposit for your initial appointment. The deposit will be deducted from the total amount of your initial session. If you are a new client and you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, your deposit will be held.

Afterhours appointments

For appointments after 5pm or on weekends a $20 surcharge is applied on top of the standard appointment fee for initial and subsequent sessions.

Cancellation Policy

We deeply value your time and appreciate you valuing ours too. This policy is in place to ensure our practice can be sustainable, whilst also allowing sufficient time to offer any cancellation spots to other clients. We understand circumstances come up and you might need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. You will not incur in any fees if you cancel with more than 48 hours notice.

If you cancel will less than 48 hours, you will be charged a cancellation fee 50% of the scheduled session.

Appointments missed, cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice will incur the full fee which you must pay prior to your next scheduled appointment.

Scaling Fees

At Ayun Psychology we are committed to making psychological support more accessible which is why we offer a sliding scale fee structure in an effort to make therapy affordable. This means that the cost of therapy sessions can be adjusted based on your income and financial circumstances.
